Zoid Spawn brings Karen Zoid, theatre, visual art and cinematic piano together for an unusual live performance at NG Kerk Melkbosstrand on Friday, 25 September. Created by Karen Zoid and Ben Francis and featuring Anton Eloff, the production explores the relationship between mother and son through music, conversation and immersive visual landscapes.
Rather than a conventional concert, Zoid Spawn sits somewhere between theatre, live music and an art installation, with Zoid’s songs and Eloff’s piano performance forming the centre of the experience. The production uses the intimate church setting to create a more personal atmosphere, with a 100-minute running time including an interval. It is aimed at audiences aged 13 and over, and advance booking is recommended because of the venue’s limited capacity.
