Mamma Mia – Here We Go Again at District

Waarnmakersweek Programme at Dunstone Estate
Waarnmakersweek brings six days of creativity, food, art, music and workshops to Dunstone Estate in the beautiful Bovlei Valley from 8 to 13 September. Expect hands-on sessions in leatherworking, photography, stitchwork, macramé, yoga and drumming, plus poetry, theatre and plenty of good food. The highlight is Thursday’s Gala Evening and A.R.T Gallery opening, featuring wine, art, a book launch, live performances and a farm-style dinner. Story of the Church Pilgrimage at Castle of Good Hope
Take a walk through Cape Town’s past and explore the complicated story of the church on this 6.5km pilgrimage through the city. Led by John Scheepers, the route takes in historic spots including the Castle of Good Hope, Parliament, St George’s Cathedral, Bo-Kaap and District Six. Along the way, you’ll hear stories about colonisation, slavery, apartheid, missions and the church’s role in the struggle for freedom. Immersion – A Cathedral-Like 360° Sound Journey at Cape Town City Hall
Need an excuse to slow down? IMMERSION is bringing an evening of big, beautiful sound to Cape Town City Hall on 8 September. Think giant gongs, Tibetan and crystal singing bowls, didgeridoos, drums, flutes and soaring voices, all performed live around you in a 360° sound experience. Mother City Core at Trenchtown
If loud guitars, heavy riffs and alternative vibes are your kind of Saturday, Mother City Core is worth checking out. Taking over Trenchtown in Observatory on 19 September, the event brings together Atlantic South, Moondaygun, Dreadlines and The Dominion for a full day of live music.
