Waarnmakersweek brings six days of creativity, culture and hands-on experiences to Dunstone Estate in Wellington from 8 to 13 September. Set in the Bovlei Valley, the programme combines art, food, music and practical workshops, with activities ranging from leatherworking, photography and stitchwork to macramé, yoga, drumming and kimono patternmaking.
The programme also includes poetry, theatre, a children’s book exhibition, nature walks and an AI workshop. One of the highlights is Thursday’s Gala Evening and A.R.T Gallery opening, combining wine, art, a book launch, live performances and a farm-style dinner. There are free events as well as ticketed workshops and experiences, with prices varying by activity.
