Cape Town’s electronic music scene gets a winter boost this August as Sanctum returns for the second edition of Year of the Horse at Halo. Taking place on 22 August 2026, the event invites music lovers to lose themselves in a night of immersive techno, progressive sounds, and indie dance grooves.
Inspired by the energy of the Fire Horse cycle – a rare 60-year occurrence linked to change, movement, and bold new beginnings – Sanctum creates a space where music, atmosphere, and community come together. The lineup features some of the city’s favourite electronic acts, including Audiojerk, Geometric Flux, Prlli, Suddha, Gym Crush and Josh Mac, with Funktion One sound bringing the experience to life.
From 9 PM until 4 AM, Halo on Loop Street will transform into a late-night sanctuary for those looking to explore Cape Town’s underground sounds. Expect powerful beats, good energy, and a winter night worth staying out for.
